Praise for Africa's Child from Africa

“It took me a good five hours to finish reading this book from cover to cover. There is much to learn about the human spirit, struggles, perseverance, triumph in the quest for meaning, purpose, and ultimately, peace! In the book, we are taken on a journey of tragedies and fortunes, tears and joy. It is a story of an orphan who grew up in the Usambara Mountains in Tanzania, then Tanganyika. Against all odds, the young girl excelled in school and later found success in the US. She searched outside for love and acceptance only to discover at a tender age that the answers were within her. Experiences of physical and mental abuse did not break her down, but only hardened her resolve to use education as vehicle to change her life for the better. Life is a book in which we are the author of each chapter. There is an opportunity to write a new chapter each day we wake up. Asante sana kwa kitabu hiki ("Thank you very much for this book.") mama Maria Nhambu!”
